Performance assessment of jazz sequence(14th of December)

Self assessment:

After watching my performance i feel as if i really made it my own by applying my strengths in relation to my physical skills one being my stamina, in my performance i used my height as an advantage for wider and more expressive movements to really show the emotion behind the movements my stamina allowed me to keep these movements flowing throughout which caused my performance to improve as a whole. During my performance i also thought about rhythm and time to really show my ability to adapt to the music not only that i slowed down sections of each movement making it my own which made it a lot more comfortable for me and made my confidence excel. From the start of the rehearsals i had never attended a dance class in my life and through only a month of practice i thought i had shown a lot of improvement with my posture  and flexibility this only just proves that if you really focus and use a lot of discipline you can improve as a whole to further express this only a month for the solo and being able to remember the movements really helped

Areas for development:

Now that i have assessed my performance and analysed my strengths the next step is to look at the area i can improve . First of all my posture is something i need to work on during the performance my posture was majority of the time very good and has been improved over the course of time however i want to increase this improvement even further as this will really improve my performance the next area would be my flexibility particularly near the groin there is a fair few movements in the song where we nearly do the splits which could have been more elegant and express emotion if i did have better flexibility the way i will improve this is through the use of stretching each time pushing further for improvement to show. Although i kept in rhythm and made it my own i think i could have a wider use of own interpretation with certain arm movements as this will really emphasise my growth as a dancer
